Exchange 2007 Migration for Global Financial Services Firm

Performed migration from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 for Global Financial Services Firm. Elegrity consultants collaborated with the firm on achieving the appropriate architecture and design for the new Exchange 2007 environment, including making adjustments to message store and storage approach in order to accommodate expected growth.

Unified Communications Best Practices Assessment

Elegrity's Unified Communications experts assessed the current Unified Communications infrastructure in place at a global investment firm. The assessment examined current messaging, archival and disaster recovery capabilities. The end-deliverable included short-term and long-term recommendations for the firm, including recommended Best Practices.

Offshore Development Environment Provisioning

A firm with heavily leveraged offshore development staff in India for the production of their software projects was struggling with several things:

•	Offshore developers complained of ‘slowness’ for their development tools
•	Development tool functionality issues
•	Inability to quickly provision new developer access to ‘scale-up’ when production needs required it
•	There was a reluctance to provide VPN access to offshore developers
•	The firm was concerned about protection of intellectual property (source control)
•	The customer needed to provision test and QA environments quickly

Using Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop Elegrity designed a virtual desktop remote access solution that allowed the offshore developers to access the development tools and environments they needed without any need for copying data to servers or workstations in India. All of the development was done ‘locally’ in a virtualized sense within the firm’s headquarters and our client was able to ensure all of their intellectual property was being stored securely in their source control systems.
